Five Element Yoga® is a vibrant and colorful flowing practice created by Jennifer Reis. The result of this practice both nourishes and balances your inner earth, water, fire, air, and ether elements to cultivate harmony and increase health.
Pam is a certified Five Element Yoga® teacher, a member of the Suncoast Yoga Teacher Association and a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance (200-RYT). She will lead you through 5 elements practice using mudras, mantras and asanas (postures) as well as taking you through deep relaxation to deeply and completely go within, accept, rejoice and rejuvenate.

These anti-gravity classes will combine traditional yoga methodology the amazing benefits of weightlessness, strength and deep relaxation. The Yoga Swings make it possible for all levels to experience added fun and ease in the practice. Aerial yoga classes are designed to modify all postures to include the support of the swing. As with the use of any yoga prop, you will find that you can hold and balance in the poses longer to fully experience their healing effects. We will have extended weekends together over the course of 6 months, 9 weekends total.
You will learn history of yoga, adjustments, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy, meditation practices, chanting and much more.
The cost is $2700 total. You will need to apply for the program and after acceptance, a $300 deposit is required to hold your space. Once deposit is paid, you may either pay the rest in full or make payments during each training weekend of $266.67.

Ashtanga Adjustment Clinic With Krista Shirley

Spend the Weekend with Krista first starting off on Friday evening deconstructing and reconstructing our yoga practice, two options to practice mysore and then learning safe, unique and effective adjustments for postures of the primary series. Krista will also dedicate time providing many useful tips on how to work towards mastery of these asanas. This workshop series is suitable for any Ashtanga Yoga students, and extremely useful for Ashtanga Yoga teachers. Deconstruction Before Reconstruction with Krista Shirley Fri, Feb 10, 2017 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Intended for students with a daily practice. We go through phases in our practice…In the beginning it feels good, and we feel good for doing the practice. But as you get deeper into your practice the honeymoon phase ends as you start to uncover deep seated physical and emotional blockages. These blockages must be dealt with in order for us to let go of that baggage we hold deep within our bodies and minds. This can be extremely uncomfortable both physically and mentally and this is often the point where people either choose to face themselves and dig deep, keep practicing but on a very surface level, or walk away from yoga altogether. In this workshop we will learn how to deal with the discomfort we face in our yoga asana practice. Muscles and bones and nerves, emotional scares and fears and hurts….They all come to the surface with daily asana practice. Join Krista in a discussion about deconstruction before reconstruction. “Mysore style” is traditionally practiced silently, with individual instruction, and is named after Mysore, India, where Ashtanga yoga originated and was taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois for many years.

Anyone is welcome to come to this class. Students will work at their own pace, according to his or her individual needs, while Krista walks around the room providing hands on adjustments and verbal instruction as needed. If you do not have the primary series memorized, you will spend your first few weeks in class repeating bits of the standing sequence until it is committed to memory. At that point, you will come in daily, do your sun salutations, standing postures, seated postures and finishing postures on your own, under the guidance of your teacher.

Mysore style is the absolute best way to learn and practice Yoga. It enables you to create a dedicated, daily practice that will take you infinitely deeper into the peace and calm a quiet mind and strong body can provide. Ashtanga Yoga, done daily, will increase flexibility, strength, endurance, and physical and mental balance; it will cleanse the internal systems of the body and provide a healthy source of focus and dedication in ones life – something everyone needs!
